Hey, it's me again. I'm glad you didn't give up on this game.
I got the latest version of this game on the PlayStation and spent about three hours finishing it. Now, let me talk about the game's flaws and areas for improvement:
1. The game mostly sticks to the basic "driving and shooting" mechanics, but I think it would be nice to add some occasional combat in a blocked area. Could players fight some unusual bosses, like a powerful crusher that only rams into people in the field, a modified bulldozer, or a tank with special, powerful weapons? The game could also include side missions, such as fighting bosses or enemies in tunnels, abandoned stadiums, and other restricted or obstructed locations.
2. The game has no final ending; I just get crushed by the crusher. I'm not sure if there are any side missions.
3. The game could use a few more aircraft bosses... Have you played "Hard Truck Apocalypse: Rise of Clans"? It would be fun to shoot down giant helicopters and flying saucers.
4. Online or AI wingman mode? Or it could just be a simple training test mode, where players can release any enemies and bosses they want to challenge them in order to determine their current weapons and combat levels.
was excited to support the game on macos since the demo also had a mac release… but 1.0’s release on steam today only shows pc. any chance we are getting a mac version too? pretty bummed i can’t play.
Great game, really visually stunning, I love the style. Loads of fun, and its free atp! You can customise the vehicles weapons and skins, though the skin customisation could be improved maybe. The game is well optimised, and even at the highest graphic settings can run well on my old business laptop.
Feedback:
The amount of grime on the car's skin that you cant remove can be a lil bit annoying sometimes.
basically every boss having a "surprise, i have a second health bar" can feel tedious sometimes
roads dont give you a massive speed boost compared to, say, thick grass
when you are designing the left side of the car it automatically copies to the other side, which is useful, but if you change which layer an object is on, it doesnt clone it, so then you have to go back and manually fix the other side
if you put text somewhere, or come up with a logo or something like that, and then you want to put it anywhere else you have to manually remake it every time. it would be nice if you could make new stickers or "groups" using the other stickers, that way i could copy designs like text to other parts of the car or the other side easily. maybe make it so you can "add custom" sticker that you can make out of the built in stickers, or you can when designing your car, select a few of the stickers and "group" so you can copy to other parts.
you could introduce the compass POIs one at a time, because when they all appear at once it can bit a confusing
Awesome game. I am a huge Vigilante 8 and Interstate '76 fan an this instantly scratched that itch! Thanks for bring back car combat in such a fun, bouncy, explosive package. Got the demo and hanging out for the final release.

We didn't release update on itch yet not because fuck you or anyone else but because we wanted to release update, as usual, with support of native linux and macOS and we run into some technical issues and unfortunately it's taking us more time because we're working on this project in our spare time :|
Quick bug report. I wanted a photomode shot of an explosion after killing one of the enemies, and the "I'm Expired" dialog blocked all of my menu options. I literally had to quit because the continue button was blocked.
For reference, I can't click on anything above "Stats".
Also pretty sure that nothing saves. Using the Mac version + the terminal hack described below in a reply to DependanceTempelhof's comment.
Fumes SLAPS! This demo is already a full small game as is, and it's so TASTY. Get your fix of Mad Twisted Vigilante drive and destruct action. Oozes style, and a very satisfying core loop. Encourages you to rip across the landscape with wild abandon, pelting your foes with flak. Get some.
I just started the game on steam and OMG it's for me! I loved playing Interstate76 and this game Fumes... I'm in love! Played it for an hour and enjoyed every minute.
I can't believe it's been 2 years since my last comment ! Time flies as they say, or rather burns off-tracks on weary tires. I still play the game from time to time and keep spreading the word around me as I enjoy it a bunch.

I love this game, that reference to NFS Most Wanted in the beginning caught me off guard so hard in such a good way! The game plays super fun as well, try it if you have ANY interest in it at all.
This game doesn't work for me with an M1 Mac, not sure if I am doing something wrong but it just says "The Application FUMES can't be opened." there is no option in my settings to change any privacy settings to let it run
Ditto. Older Macbook running OS 10.15, said error damaged file. "xattr -cr [app drag]" worked first try. According to Stack Overflow, the chmod command can actually be dangerous to your system security and probably mess up your computer. Just a warning, it does nothing, and I'm pretty sure that the syntax is wrong (at least for my system). This is a game I would love to see with multiplayer and would buy if I could. For now though, I'm gonna play the heck out of the demo. Great graphics, great gameplay, great game.
perhaps, this game implements extremely interesting mechanics for me. I wish you further development and hope that the game will be translated into other languages)

The game just crashed (q9550, gtx 750 ti, windows 10) but it was really fun i'll launch it again aftere a good night sleep.

go to terminal and enter "chmod -R 777 [at this point drag the app into the terminal window]"
